I am very passionate about I have a wealth of experience in Health and Safety. For this last 22 months I have been working as HSE Advisor with John Lyns Group working on Disaaster Recovery and AJ Grant Building on flood reconstruction in the Northern Rivers NSW. Prior to this I was working as the WHS Manager for Leisure Pools at their manufacturing facility at Yatala QLD.I have worked as a Health & Safety Superintendent for Cockatoo Exploration for five years. I have been working in Health & Safety and training for 15 years. Prior to this role I was contracted as Lead Safety Advisor for Downer EDI at the Anglo-American Drayton a major construction project at Muswellbrook NSW. In this role I was responsible for up to 300 contractors onsite and 6 safety advisors. I was previously NSW Manager of SGS offering Health & Safety training and inductions across a range of industries. I have written a Health & Safety Management Plan for Cockatoo Exploration as well as Principle Hazard Management Plans and SOP’s. In my role as Health and Safety Superintendent I provided support to Cockatoo’s business units and individual Projects to ensure legislative compliance and Cockatoo’s Health & Safety requirements were met. I have conducted audits as lead Auditor on Baralaba Exploration Leases, Bylong and Hume exploration projects as per AS 4801 requirements..As a Lead Investigator I was responsible for conducting ICAM investigations, leading the ICAM team, gathering data utilising PEEPO method ie People, Envrionment, Equipment, Procedures and Organisational Culture, identifying failed and absence defences, writing and implementing corrective actions to incidents. In 2006-08 I was NSW Manager SGS Australia, an RTO conducting Workplace Health and Safety Training in the mining industry. I was responsible for the implementation and design of induction training for contractors on mine sites. My major clients were Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton Mt Arthur, Newcrest Gold Mining (Cadia) and BMA Qld.I attained a Masters Degree in Business Administration and have completed my Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), Diploma of Workplace Health & Safety and Bachelor of Environmental Science. I am lead auditor accredited by SAI GlobaL My goal as a Health & Safety professional is to ensure that everyone goes home safely in the same physical and mental condition that they arrived at work. I have 15 years experience as a WHS professional.
