Harvey Bowes is a dynamic, rapidly expanding business offering a range of financial products aimed at Property Investors and related Property Developmental services. Highly respected within the Property Sector, the Harvey Bowes group offer a wide range of services to both local and international investors including Real Estate sales and Lettings, Sourcing for property developers, Build Management, Property Training and they provide and present at regular events catered to both experienced and newer property investor.My role was to look in depth at the structures and processes within the business and look for ways to enhance process and efficiency, to digitalise many of the processes within the business. I was tasked with understanding all aspects of the business to allow me to challenge established practices and identify where processes were lacking or dated and therefore refine, or create new, digitally oriented structures and procedures that allow for greater business intelligence, forecasting and performance management.The goal being to better support the business as it continues its dynamic development and growth within its marketplace.

Tata Steel Europe is Europe's second largest steel producer and globally has production sites in 26 different countries.As IT manager my role includes..- Leading the Infrastructure team, the Helpdesk team and the DevOps team- Creation and implementation of the IT strategic plan. - Liaison with key business stakeholders to ensure service experienced is first class and to develop the strategic planning relating to their particular areas.-The development of the IT team-Technical expert for all parts of the infrastructure- Final port of call for all escalated issues

Responsible for managing, maintaining and continually improving IT infrastructure for a user base of over 500 people. Liaised with stakeholders to ensure IT provision was fit for purpose and developed with evolving requirements. Ensured adherence to key performance indicators. Particular focus was placed on delivering the IT strategy regarding creating a range of projects enhancing site safety and adherence to best practice standards particularly in change management. Managed Infrastructure, Helpdesk and DevOps teams, reporting directly to the Group IT Manager.Technical areas: o Server infrastructure – Virtualised Hyper-Vo Active directory managemento Security – threat analysis, antivirus and patchingo Data back-up – BackUpExec and VEEAMo Helpdesk managemento Disaster recovery analysis, recovery plans and testingo NASo SQLo CCTVo VOIPo Training

This role followed the insourcing of IT support for the business.It involved-Training the local staff to be able to support the new infrastructure-Writing the SLA's and KPIs the department needed to adhere to-Post implementation monitoring and honing-Server management and maintenance.
