Born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, I started my journalism career as a researcher and then reporter for CBC Radio in Quebec City, where worked for 7 years, including producing the afternoon and morning radio shows on CBC’s Quebec Community Network. I moved to Toronto to work for 7 years as a producer for CBC Radio's national show "As It Happens”.From January to March, 1995, on a temporary sabbatical leave, I traveled throughout Cuba as the recipient of a Fellowship for Journalists, awarded by the Canadian Foundation for the Americas. (FOCAL)In 1996, I joined CPAC, (the Cable Public Affairs Channel) where I've hosted programs on Canadian politics, international affairs and Canadian social issues. For 5 years, I hosted a live, national, bilingual phone-in show. I've covered leadership races, policy conventions, election campaigns, the daily debates on Parliament Hill - and virtually every aspect of federal politics.In addition to being bilingual in French & English, I speak relatively fluent Italian, and some Spanish. My passions include travel, hiking, photography & kayaking.I am now happily retired.
