Manage and responsible for all minerals inspection services and all testing laboratories in Vietnam including the performance/P&L of minerals division.Run the business (marketing, sales, technical, execution) and develop action plans to achieve medium-term targets and budget.Implement division/country strategies and implement necessary processes for adequate, consistent quality (in line with division processes).Leverage best practice in the division and control all direct costs and improve productivity continuously.Develop and implement new business ideas and optimize the branch network and the organization as required.Coach, develop and evaluate section business unit managers.Size of organization: 450-500 employees or staffs within Minerals Division

Managing new geochem laboratory with 88 employees in total to serve Nui Phao Mining Company with goal to have the lab in operational according the agreed time table with the client. The scope of this lab is to provide wide range of analytical chemistry of various commodity such us Tungsten, Bismuth, Fluorite and Copper including Sodium Tungsten, Fluospar and Ammonium Paratungstate in the near future.The lab is equipped with various instrumental analysis i,e XRF, ICP-MS, AAS, LECO C/S, Autotitrator, ISE Meter, IC, UV/Vis Spectrometer, Mastersizer, etc. The samples are coming from Mine & Geology, Processing Plants i.e. Tungsten Gravity, Bulk Sulphide Flotation, Copper Flotation, Fluorite Flotation, Bismuth Flotation, Sodium Tungsten, Environmental Monitoring and will follow Blue Tungsten Oxide and Ammonium Para Tungstate Plant.

Scope of works:Setting up and commissioning the Mine Site Laboratory for Solvent Extraction and Electro-Winning (SX-EW) Project of Anvil Mining. The Lab will provide analytical service for the sample from Crushing & Grinding, Leaching & Thickening, CCD Operation, Solvent Extraction, Electro-winning and Tailings.Mainly the Lab will was equipped with ICP-OES, DC Arc/Spark Spectrometer, AA Spectrometer, Autotitrator, Ion Meter and Copper Cathode Preparation using Induction Furnace and Milling Machine.Achievements:Completed all installation and commissioned the laboratory to run properly with some obstacles due to remote location and logistic problem.Trained all chemists and lab technician to operate all analytical equipmentDeveloped the analytical methods for ICP-OES, Ion Meter and Autotitrator.Successful in round robin program with LQSI and in proficiency test with Geostats – Australia.

Scope of works:Managing nickel mining and smelting integrated laboratory with 88 staffs which is accredited for ISO/IEC17025:2005. The Laboratory has capacity 12.000-14.000 samples per week using both instrumental and wet analytical method. The samples are from exploration, mine grade control, processing plant, power plant and environmental monitoring.The Analytical Laboratory was equipped with XRF Spectrometers, Modutemp, ICP-OES, AAS, Electro gravimeter, ED-XRF Desktop, LECO (O/H/C), Bomb Calorimeter, Karl Fischer Titration, UV/Vis Spectrometer, Gas Chromatograph, Ion Meter, etc.The Sample House was equipped with Automatic sampler (from belt conveyor), Jaw crushers, Boyd crushers, Pulverizers, Vibrating Screen, Press pellet, etc.Co-current as Technical manager as required by ISO17025:2005Achievements:Renewal of ISO17025:2005 Accreditation with additional scope for Environmental Analysis.Optimized the LIMS Lab Ware to provide the reliable data management since sample receiving, analysis progress, quality control and reporting.Developed the role profile of laboratory manpower including chemists, supervisors, chemical analyst, and sample house technicians.Operated the laboratory within the budget and efficientlyPrepared the improvement project both of analytical section and sampling devices

Assist Manager of Laboratory & Sample house in developing the skill and competency of technicians and analysts by participation in transferring new method or technology and providing necessary training for chemical analysts and technicians.Provide technical knowledge and expertise to the laboratory and plant operation on sampling, physical and chemical analysis in order that all quality procedures are up to date and comply with related standard.Set up, plan and execute short and long term projects on sampling and analytical areas. Including coordination of manpower required to run the test, under assistance of Supt Laboratory & Sample House.Work collaterally with process engineers in operation and process technology to run.Developmental project in order that all programs are implemented and supporting in preparation and implementation of capital project in Laboratory and Sample House areas in order all required projects are implemented efficiently and in time.

Supervising mine site laboratory of PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara, a copper and gold mining in Sumbawa Island, IndonesiaManaging 48 staffs, they are production chemist, shift chemist, lab assistants and sample house technicians.Role also includes the implementation of laboratory management systems to enable ISO17025 accreditation in the near future. Analytical services covers of a wide range of materials from grade control samples to metallurgical products including concentrate shipment sampling and analysis utilizing both instrumental and classical wet chemical methods.

Trained as laboratory team leader for 9 months period in Naoshima Smelter & Refinery.Commissioned Gresik Copper & Smelter Laboratory by providing method development, validation, crew hiring and training.Developed and trained laboratory assistants in chemical analysis, instrumental analysis and good laboratory practice. Supervising a team of laboratory chemical analysts to run wet analysis section which provides analytical service for samples from smelter, anode furnace, electro-refining, waste water treatment plant and environmental monitoring samples.Coordinate 13 staffs by applying classical wet chemical and instrumental analysis including shipment analysis for Cu, Au, Ag and impurities in concentrates.
