Radio Broadcaster

Current

Carlow/Kilkenny

I present a variety of radio programmes on KCLR, broadcasting to Carlow And Kilkenny, also available on the KCLR app, the Irish Radioplayer app and on kclr96fm.com. I currently present a show called "Ceol Anocht" on Tuesday and Thursday nights, an eclectic mix of music with a strong emphasis on Irish and local talent. The mix goes from up to the minute indie and alternative music, folk/roots, traditional Irish music and classics tracks across genres. It's a bilingual experience too! I also host regular Studio 2 Sessions across a wide variety of musical genres and act as music associate for some of the flagship programmes on the station. I presented/edited/produced three shows at the weekend on KCLR96FM from 2005 - 2014, broadcasting to up to 72,000 listeners every week. The Eclectic Light Programme presented the best of rock/alternative/indie music with a strong emphasis on local and national Irish talent. It featured the Studio 2 Sessions with a wide variety of local, Irish and international artists.People In Profile was a weekly chat show featuring people from Carlow and Kilkenny. It was a mixture of intimate chat and music and was a show I was proud to produce and present for almost 10 years. It's main feature was to highlight the local heroes, those who are for Carlow and Kilkenny, those who have chosen to live there and their passions and involvement in the life of the region. Blas Glas presented the best of traditional and folk music from across Ireland and further afield. It featured regular Studio 2 Sessions and regular sessions from around Carlow and Kilkenny.Over the years, I have produced a number of shows inclined the religious affairs programme, an Irish language programme and (currently) the weekly Farm Show. I have deputised across speech and music programmes and have been anchor on the Sunday Scoreline (Sports) programme from 2015-2018.
