Lead and coordinating litigation counsel for 100+ actions against mortgage modification fraudsters.Significant Cases: Involved in numerous high-profile, high-exposure cases including: securities fraud class action in gold mining industry involving $5 billion mark-to-market loss; securities fraud class action in pharmaceutical industry with over $1 billion stock drop; securities fraud class action in largest credit ratings cliff case involving $8 billion capitalization loss; securities fraud class action involving largest gold mining fraud of all time; numerous arbitrations and regulatory actions resulting from forced divestiture of largest internet backbone; numerous arbitrations involving accounting issues in long-term supply contracts in various commodities; and litigation that set standard for accounting for executive compensation in federal government contracts. Chair, Attorney Training and Development Committee (2003 to 2011). Designed, supervised and taught in training and development worldwide for hundreds of litigators including 300 training programs a year. Programs won numerous awards including American Society of Training and Development “BEST” Award (2007) (only law firm recognized) and NALP Award of Distinction (2006).
