IT Security/ Requirements Lead for the EGEM team supporting Headquarters Marine Corps Installations & Logistics.

• Authored and served as the lead author for two Naval Standards, Patch Management and Cyber Situational Awareness Standards.• Worked in a classified area supporting enterprise wide Navy cybersecurity initiatives developing Navy architecture, plans, and policies. • Planned, coordinated, and supported a one week Flag/SES level Cyber Technical Exchange Meeting (TEM) between six geographically dispersed Navy System Commands in San Diego, CA for 400 attendees. • Supported the development of the Data Acquisition Plan (DAP) and Enterprise Service Taxonomy (EST) for two Navy Programs of Record (PoR) for SPAWAR 5.8. Both the DAP and EST outlined the requesting PoRs’ needs, wants, and support requirements to Navy SYSCOMs and the specific data elements necessary to establish data sharing requirements between the SYSCOMs and the PoRs. • Led coordination efforts that included the development of Plans of Actions & Milestones (POA&M), logistics planning, weekly/monthly metrics briefs to leadership, charter development, and writing Navy standards and appendices. • Supported collaboration efforts between staff members managing correspondence, SharePoint access and privileges, developing SharePoint pages, scheduling meetings, generating monthly status reports, and maintaining meeting minutes.

• Deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and served as the Civil Affairs Officer supporting multiple roles within the command to include; Theater Security Cooperation Officer and Senior Watch Officer. • Coordinated aid and support to internally displaced persons in the CENTCOM area of responsibility working closely with USAID and the Combined Joint Task Force. • Served as the senior advisor to the Commanding Officer of the SPMAGTF-CR-CC in all Civil Affairs matters. • Served as the lead planner coordinating large scale exercises that included multiple countries within the CENTCOM area of operation. Each exercise involved the coordination of major logistical movements for life support needs, military supplies/equipment, and personnel spanning across multiple countries to support the conduct of each exercise. • Responsible for command and control of the Crisis Response Operations Center that responds to crisis incidents in the CENTCOM area of operation. Responsibilities included routing information through the proper channels, making actionable decisions in response to a crisis, fielding reports from five different countries, and briefing the Commanding Officer on updates within the CENTCOM area of responsibility.

• Supported a property management and movie production company that spanned 10 properties across San Diego, CA, Las Vegas, NV, and Tulsa, OK. • Installed, managed, and maintained networking equipment and end user devices across properties. Installs also included making all cable runs and building DVR systems for site security. • Implemented group policies and remote desktop procedures to maintain site security/ integrity. • Maintained Windows 2008 Exchange server supporting 50+ users and installed, managed, and maintained Windows 7, 8, XP systems to support daily business operations. • Responded to daily helpdesk requests to resolve connectivity, software, and hardware issues and dealt directly with internet service providers to resolve administrative and connectivity issues. • Purchased hardware and software to support daily operations. • Supported movie production by maintaining Mac Pro computer systems running movie production software.

• Supported Sprint 4G/LTE expansion in the San Diego county area. • Conducted site inspections of base station equipment to include inventorying equipment using Oracle software, fault detection, identifying safety hazards, and operating in austere environments.

• Supported multiple operations to include one deployment to Afghanistan as a site commander. • Joint experience working with military members from the US Army, U.S. Air Force, and Canadian Army.• Design and implement communication networks utilizing a combination of transmission systems, layer-2 and layer-3 networking equipment, and telecommunications equipment in a field environment. • Experience supporting 2000+ users on a network. • Planned and strategically placed communications assets supporting missions involving live fire, military flight operations, and ground troop movement. • Coordinated logistical movements of gear and personnel for long distance movements.• Experience maintaining communications assets worth $20 million or more.• Managed system control centers and led coordination efforts in support of all training efforts. • Ensured the safe operation of equipment and created destructive weather and disaster recovery plans for emergency purposes. • Experience as a systems control watch officer with 6000 hours of network monitoring, reporting, crisis response, and logging of pertinent information pertaining to network activity.

• Conducted second echelon repairs on Marine Corps field radios focusing on circuit component functions, electronic signal flow, wave propagation, and system diagnostics and repair. • Stationed in Okinawa for 2 years and traveled to Thailand conducting joint training with the Thai Army serving as the field radio technician on site. • Repaired VHF, HF, and SatCom tactical radios, including vehicle mounted radios, ensuring the regiment maintained an equipment readiness level above 85%. • Researched and requisitioned repair parts to restore equipment back to 100% operability. • Conducted over 250 QC checks on tactical radio equipment.
