Working as a sales associate for a small business allowed me to take on many responsibilities. I was entrusted by the owners to open and close the store. Opening and closing the store consisted of enabling the security system and balancing the cash drawer. My most important duty was representing the Runner's Soul brand to the customer and matching each customer with a specific type of shoe that would uniquely satisfy their needs and help them achieve their fitness goals. I used gait analysis and arch examination to match the customer with the proper shoe. Along with sales, I evaluated inventory and monitored sales trends in order to optimize our purchase ordering process. My opinion was always considered by the owners when making design choices for the store's layout.
