Tijdens mijn promotieonderzoek in het AMC heb ik het effect van type 2 diabetes op het menselijke brein onderzocht. Tijdens dit onderzoek heb ik voornamelijk gewerkt met menselijk donor weefsel, maar ik heb ook mijn artikel 9 certificaat (proefdierkunde) behaald. Hier heb ik onderzocht of het aanbrengen van externe stress (door de embryos te strekken) de somitogenese kan beïnvloeden. Verder heb ik “whole mount” immunohistochemische kleuringen en hoge resolutie microscopie op.
