I am currently an Adobe Certified Adjunct Career and Technical Educator (CTE) Graphic Design dual credit instructor at Grant and Cleveland High Schools with articulation to Portland Community College Multi Media class 230. I created the CTE Digital Media Design & Production Program through the state of Oregon in accordance to state skill sets while meeting Portland Community College guidelines for the college credit class teaching graphic design principles with appropriate graphic industry design software including After Effects to over 100 students. Digital Media Design (DMD) CTE Program Development Director/Instructor Sept. 2010 • Research and development of CTE Digital Media Design and Production program • Research Oregon State Standards and apply standards to program curriculum • Application to Oregon State for CTE approval • Create class curriculum based on critical thinking and hands on design projects that reflect real world design solutions using basic design principles and industry standard software. • Instructor for six CTE DMD Program classes for over 100 students • Attend CTE district meetings for further development of CTE program • Adjunct Instructor Portland Community College (PCC) and CTE • Redesign DMD curriculum to meet PCC required outcomes • Articulation to PCC class CAS 208, then to MM 230 • Students now receive college credit for Digital Media Design and Production CTE class
