ONA is a member governed organization with scores of member lead committees, bargaining units and special interest groups. During the 2009 session, worked with legislators and health care: business and labor stakeholders to pass a historic expansion of health care to an additional 85,000 children and 35,000 adults. Participated in the Oregon Health Fund Board process and legislative process to craft what would become HB 2009 which created the Oregon Health Authority (charging this new state agency with transforming the health care system in Oregon).Direct efforts within CareOregon to create a Member Advisory Committee, develop a Member-Leader Training program, initiate Community Based Health Renewal projects and advise on Community Development Grants. Administration of all campaign related CareOregon Activities, including direct operational responsibility for Coalition work and capacity building around Ballot Measures 66 & 67 in the 2010 Special Election.
