I lead RSM’s team of employee incentives and reward specialists across the North and Scotland in our offices in Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow, Preston, Chester, Hull and Stoke. Our multi-disciplinary team delivers solutions to help our clients create an engaged and aligned management team and workforce, driving business performance and results for shareholders. We seek to understand our clients’ corporate priorities and commercial objectives, working with them to produce a solution that makes a transformational difference to their business. We then work hard to help our clients communicate the structure to their employees, ensuring their buy-in and their understanding of what is required of them; the critically-important part of any incentive plan, so often overlooked. I specialise in delivering commercially effective and tax-efficient solutions to incentivise, motivate and reward employees using shares, share options and cash-based incentives. My clients include listed PLCs, private equity-backed businesses, high-growth companies and family-owned companies. Key expertise includes all forms of tax-advantaged arrangements (EMI, CSOP, SIP, SAYE), growth shares and employee ownership trusts. In addition to advising shareholders and management teams, I also advise remuneration committees on creating an effective directors’ remuneration strategy, aligning the interests of key executives with those of investors, helping to recruit, retain and motivate directors to deliver their strategic goals.
