As a senior corporate partner with more than 30 years' experience in corporate, commercial and insolvency law, I have advised some of New Zealand’s largest and best-known businesses. I support our valued clients on complex transactions and their day-to-day legal needs.I am a former chair of the Board of DLA Piper Australia and a current member of the DLA Piper Board in New Zealand. I led the NZ firm as Country Managing Partner for over a decade, playing a key role in the integration of the Australian and New Zealand businesses with DLA Piper. Throughout my governance roles I always practised as a full time Corporate partner too.Additionally, I am Chairman of Starship Foundation, which fund raises for the national children’s hospital Starship, and a committee member (and secretary of) the Lake Tarawera Ratepayers' Association, which aims to preserve for all the unique environment and water quality of Lake Tarawera in the Bay of Plenty.In 2022, I graduated from the Te Kaa Igniting Your Māori Cultural Competency Programme.I am ranked in the Hall of Fame for Corporate/M&A by Legal 500 Asia-Pacific, and by Chambers and Partners Asia-Pacific as a Leading Individual.
