Marty was a Principal in the Health business in the Louisville office for 12 years with Mercer. He is an Associate in the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is also a licensed Health and Life insurance agent. As a Health Consultant for employer sponsored benefits, his primary responsibilities include:• Overall health benefits strategy development;• Design, pricing and evaluation of group health plans;• Health care claims data analysis and reserve calculations;• Design and pricing for wellness initiatives;• Actuarial valuations for non-pension postretirement and post-employment benefit programs (e.g., per ASC 712 and 715); and• Life, Accident, and Disability plan design strategy and renewals. • Carrier, Vendor, TPA relationship management• Risk assessment and mitigationHe is a graduate of Louisville’s St. Xavier High School and Bellarmine University, where he obtained a B.S. in Actuarial Mathematics.
