Responsible for safely planning, directing and managing the engineering operations in respect of the plants engineering systems, equipment and management process, provide leadership, building an effective, cohesive and committed team which will maintain maximum safety, quality and production standards.

Responsible for safety, quality, efficiency, production, spoilage and maintenance within a section of the FMCG manufacturing process. Leading, organising and developing a team of 7 engineers and mechanics. Reporting directly to shift manager and senior management regarding team and equipment performance. Tracking and analysing production and quality data to improve area performance on a day to day basis. Scheduling planned maintenance effectively to minimise downtime. Creating in depth reports of engineering works carried out by team. Driving team to ensure business needs are fulfilled.

Working in a team of engineers and mechanics to ensure highest levels of production, efficiency and quality from power press machinery manufacturing aluminium drink cans. Using engineering knowledge to fault find and improve processes within area. Ensuring all plant machinery is in safe working order according to industry standards and regulations. Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide variety of equipment.

Successfully completed an advance level apprenticeship including HNC level 4. Worked and trained alongside a team of 12 workshop engineers. Learnt different engineering skills being mentored by several different engineers over a 4 year period. Rebuilding different machinery and components within the can making process. Designing and implementing improvement projects within the whole plant. Carrying out planned maintenance across a wide range of equipment.
