I am an experienced Project Manager (PRINCE II) with excellent analysis and technical skills. I have managed teams of up to 40+ people, with average team sizes of around 15 to 20. My communication skills are very strong, both verbal and written. I am comfortable with presenting at any level within the organisation, either internally or to clients. I also have a proven background in running global, cross-discipline teams including the use of off shore staff and facilities. My experience has been gained more recently in the Financial industries with earlier experience in FMCG and IT Service Providers. Experience has encompassed the whole project lifecycle from inception to delivery and hand over/sign off. ITIL v3.0 Foundation certification has allowed me to have a better understanding of IT processes when working with change, problem and incident management. I also have experience dealing with large corporate customers and suppliers and general third party management. I have previously specialised in problem management as well as project management. This has obviously required close working knowledge of all the standard service management processes including change, defect and incident management. I have full knowledge of the development lifecycle from design through to implementation, including multi track implementation from development through acceptance into production to facilitate full development and testing conformity and standardisation. Design activities have focused predominantly on large corporate, data centre based environments where focus is on security and stability. My experience has included working with a number of technologies including mainframe, mid tier (Unix & Windows) as well as integration technologies such as IBM Websphere MQ Series and Application Server.

Service Improvement And Problem Management LeadAccenture Jan 2010 - Jan 2012Within this role I was required to design, create and implement a problem management team across multiple integration technologies. The team was of a global structure and involved both direct and virtual management across the UK and the Philippines. As part of this activity I was also required to define and implement a set of best practice processes and working procedures. These were documented and stored in a central repository and used to facilitate team progression. The service improvement aspect of the role required me to provide programme management for a number of project activities within the integration technologies. This required managing a team of 4 people who handled the day to day resourcing and management of each of their projects, setting standards, reviewing deliverables, and facilitating approval and progression with the client. Projects are varying in size, generally less than 50 days, and there are normally about 20 or more on the go at any one time. Activities were progressed according to the standard Accenture methodologies for project management. -
Solutions ManagerAccenture Sep 2007 - Jan 2010As a solutions manager I was required to take an active part in project progression within the Non SAP integration technologies arena. This was predominantly focused around IBM Websphere products such as MQ series but also included other transport layer technologies and monitoring tools. The role required me to plan projects, acquire and manage resources, and liaise with the client as well as taking an active part myself in some of the actual project tasks. Again there would be multiple projects of many sizes in progress at any one time, but still predominantly under 50 man days.To facilitate this role I also had to be active and proactive in management reporting techniques to prove and track progress. Also, as the role was that of technical project management, then a sound knowledge of the architecture was required. -
