STAR RESEARCH PROJECT•Completed an 11-week research project investigating the effects of cocoa consumption on student memory.•Designed and conducted a 14-day study involving 134 participants, half of which consumed 20g of 85% dark chocolate each day, and the other half abstained from chocolate consumption. Both groups underwent Lumosity memory testing daily for the duration of the study.•Utilized Excel and R Commander for comprehensive data analysis of the Lumosity scores.•Successfully demonstrated that 20g of 85% cocoa dark chocolate improves the memory in undergraduate university students over a 14-day period.•Developed strong research, data collection, statistical analysis and presentation skills. Developed excellent time management and organization skills through managing research and a full-time study load.
