Joined an established team during the migration of clients to the new Dynamics UI. Took on board the task of revising and optimising client side Javascript as we migrated. Developing a framework of common functions to be shared across all clients to ensure consistent and common code for all clients with minimal specific client code required. Reorganisation of the company GIT repositories to ensure each client had a separate repository and code was stored and organised in a consistent fashion with related documentation stored in README’s or the related wiki as appropriate.Internally a back-end system was developed using AZURE Web Jobs, Power Automate Flows and Adaptive Cards for a system to generate customer dynamics installations systems as per the requirements recorded in the front-end system. This was to accelerate the deployment and onboarding of new clients with the company.

Member of a newly established team to develop internal applications for the company. Developed a suite of C# WEB API based web services for the CHAP (Care Home Assistant Practitioner) management system used by the iPad mobile front end. Took the CHAPS web site over and migrated it from VB.NET Web Forms to C# ASP.NET MVC also implementing a new user interface standard developed by the external agency. Documented this standard in relation to appearance and behaviour of corporate web site and developed customised Visual Studio projects to reflect the company visual standards and common across application facilities such as maintenance pages. Also worked on a security subsystem called Gatekeeper for use across the corporate application suite.

Working as part of the GTI applications team. Responsible for a suite of ASP.NET based web sites with a few WinForms applications written in VB.NET and C#. The applications providing the user front end to SQL Server which synchronised with a back end EAM system known as MAMS based on Ellipse. I was responsible for migrating the team source repository from SourceSafe to the corporate TFS system.I was responsible for developing a set of JSON based REST-like web methods as a back end for a native Android app version of a core work tracking application developed by a third party contractor. On completion, I took over the maintenance of the Android application and continued to enhance it.Further web service work was taken on a system to assist in the planning of work orders for a system to manage workloads at a regional level

Working on the Wilson Andrews business area enhancing the ThinkLink software relating to the recording of information for Trust Deeds and the monitoring of their workflows. Also performing analysis work for PPI claims services Think2Claim.The system was a WinForms based application with a mixture of C# and VB.NET providing a front end to a SQL Server 2008 based database. Enhancements were developed in 3 month Agile based cycles.

A member of the Global Product Support group providing support development services to the Hunter application fraud detection product. The Hunter application was C# based web application written according to the MVC pattern as a front to an Oracle database.I’ve took the CIFAS Phase II service to production with extensive work on its XSLT for data transformation and further bug fixes required for processing of matches. Unit testing has been migrated out of Visual Studio and into NUnit to facilitate the eventual automated building of CIFAS Phase II WCF based web service.Also extensive involvement in the maintenance and enhancement to the Third Party Interface (TPI) WCF based web service by XSL, C# and PL/SQL work. The TPI allowed other companies to retrieve matches and details of rules from Hunter.

This work included the implementation of Exchange as part of a global project, devising the UK backup strategy, the UK Anti-Virus maintenance and monitoring regime, the deployment of MS patches to the UK server infrastructure, an internal Web Server farm design as part of a migration to a new central data centre, deputy SQL Server DBA and the development of a web based server asset management system.Management of the IT infrastructure processes was also documented for Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.MGTI – Second Level Support Specialist ’98-‘99Initially providing second tier support and on-site support as required by call loads required at UK office locations.

During my time with E.D.S I was a member of Microsoft Skills Centre for the Industry Division of E.D.S. based at Pilkington in St. Helens and also worked in their internal service team EDS LANS. The Microsoft Skills Centre provided technical support and project management services as necessary to the various projects within the Pilkington account and other accounts within the Industry Division. During my period with them my main work has been involved in the rolling out of standard Windows ‘95 /Office systems for Novell 3/ NT based network at Pilkington H.Q. and providing NT Server support at Triplex in King’s Norton, Birmingham. I was the technical lead of the E.D.S. LANS team based at Cheadle. I also deputised for the Team Leader in his absence from the site. E.D.S. LANS is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a consistent desktop environment for E.D.S. employees. This environment was based around NT servers and a Windows 95 client with Office 95 and Outlook.

During my time at the University I was involved in the development of a network that grew into a large complex heterogeneous environment. The University network was based around a central openVMS cluster and 35 openVMS /Windows NT file servers. These served a network of approx. 3000 PCs and 300 Macintoshes. My work with Macintosh network involved the installation, configuration, documentation and maintenance of the University’s Macintosh network. In creating the student access network I produced an authentication server for use with third party client software from a commercial software company.
