After experiencing Hakomi in my home country of Argentina more than 20 years ago, I decided to move cross the American continent to Ashland, Oregon, to study with Ron Kurtz, the founder of the Hakomi Method. Being a Somatic Counselor, his work not only spoke to me as a particularly elegant and profound method for body-centered-therapy, but it was also held in a spirit that resonated with what felt like a rightful human way of being in the world: a grounding in deep listening, silence and honoring the rhythms of life's unfolding and healing.Having been interested since childhood in Taoism, Buddhism and a variety of mystical and philosophical approaches, the Hakomi Method felt like home. Since then I studied and assisted Ron in his work for more than 12 years. I also bring more than 30 years of experience in working with a variety of sensorimotor oriented therapeutic modalities and art forms, including mainly Feldenkrais (Teacher and Guild-Certified Practitioner) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. ​I bring an inclusive, non judgmental presence, a lifelong practice of mindfulness through zen Buddhism, mothering, dance, the visual arts, gardening, and cooking healthy meals and the lightness and sense of humor that a committed life and its journey through grief and loss can cultivate.​My passion is social change evoked simply by nurturing an environment to bring light to the unconscious processes and embodied habits that limit us and hold us back in relating deeply and creating authentic intimacy.​I share this work in groups, communities, families, couples or individual sessions by appointment as well as in supervision, workshops, group presentations and trainings in the Hakomi Method.​If you are interested you can contact me here.
