World Bicycle Relief provides sustainable mobility solutions in developing countries by designing and distributing locally assembled bicycles used by individuals and communities to enhance access to education, healthcare and economic opportunities.I developed a corporate engagement and social impact strategy, expanded WBR's partnership portfolio, and accelerated fundraising. Working cross-functionally with my marketing team and partners, I implemented new program opportunities including first-time brand exclusivity sponsorships, inaugural school funding programs and employee engagement.I also emceed and facilitated WBR's annual galas, presented to audiences of 300+ at conferences, served as a panelist and moderator, and presented at offices and schools.

I managed WBR's peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraising programs and coached a diverse community of over 150 fundraisers annually. By analyzing revenue, participation trends and data, I designed communication and fundraising strategies in Chicago and throughout the midwest to build community, and increase revenue and visibility.Working with WBR's global teams, I managed the redesign of WBR’s immersion program by leading outreach efforts, diversifying participation, lowering costs, and leading the 2017 Zambia immersion trip to connect donors, fundraisers and corporate partners with their peers and with bicycle recipients.

I joined the Customer Service Team and was quickly promoted to Supervisor where I co-managed a diverse team of 25+ employees, supported career development, identified employee engagement opportunities, and oversaw team performance and store campaigns.

The Rotary Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Rotary International, a global network of business and professional leaders who carry out service projects worldwide. I developed the Foundation's first global strategic partnership model that expanded the way we collaborated, supported long-term community engagement and relationships, and contributed to accelerating the MDGs and SDGs. Our work addressed critical humanitarian needs by leveraging the wide-ranging skills of Rotary's volunteers with the expertise of international development partners. I managed partnerships and grant programs (scholarships, mentoring and training) with institutions such as the Aga Khan University, UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education and Mercy Ships. Our goal was to increase the skills and capacity of global change agents dedicated improving maternal and child health, increasing access to safe water and sanitation, and strengthening health care systems within their communities.

My love of soccer, commitment to Rotary’s most critical global initiative, and interest in engaging employees and their families and friends led me to develop and organize Rotary’s first staff-driven fundraising event. The soccer tournament gathered 70 participants and 15 volunteers to raise money and awareness for Rotary’s “Kick Polio Out of Africa” campaign.

While visiting my sister in Cairo, Egypt, I met a friend who shared similar interests in creating an international service-learning organization in the Middle East for students to not only study Arabic and Egyptian culture, but to also engage with their host community. A few meetings later, Marhaba was born.

The GSE program offered short-term cultural exchange programs to adults 25-40. I coordinated hundreds of international exchanges for groups of young professionals each year and told the story of Rotary's impact by highlighting successful exchanges that embraced cross-cultural experiences as well as sharing professional expertise.
