As a Senior Program Analyst in the Policy and Planning Divsion, I was responsible to perform analytical functions relating to policy reviews, program analysis, cross-media and cross-cutting issues, economic, management and organizational studies. I prepared technical and administrative recommendations to deal with high priority issues to assist Regional management with special policy and planning projects for the region.

During this time I served as a State Coordinator in the Air Pollution Branch to assist state and local air pollution control and planning officials in developing and adopting complex regulations to control point, area, and mobile sources of air pollutants. Reviewed the submitted State Implementation Plans (implementing the National Ambient Air Quality Standards for six criteria pollutants) for the four states in our region.

Prepared preliminary and final drawings of engineering and architectural projects such as buildings, structures, systems, equipment and plot designs. Worked with architects and engineers, who provided the structure's details. Prepared technical drawings such as blueprints used to build a wide array of elements. I received digitizing training and used digitizing equipment to develop the location of structures, cross-section traverses, revetments and Missouri River monument controls.

Served as Work Unit Leader for approximately 20 tax examiners in the Error Resolution Section. Assured work assignments of employees of the unit and assisted staff with questions about how to handle certain taxpayer or data entry errors on individual tax returns.
