As a Human Resources Assistant, I have been applying my communication studies and skills to support the HR team and the employees of a family-owned agricultural business. I have been involved in various HR functions, such as recruiting, onboarding, training, payroll, benefits, employee relations, and workers compensation for over four years. I have also contributed to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and best practices. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in communication studies at Western Washington University, where I learned about interpersonal, organizational, intercultural, and media communication. My education and work experience have equipped me with the core competencies of HR and communication, such as teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, empathy, and adaptability. My mission is to help create a positive and productive work environment for all stakeholders, and to foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
