Ambitious and organized planner and event designer with 3+ years of experience. Let me help create a beautiful and successful event to be a part of your story. Basically my entire life, I remember my family always having people over whether it was family, their friends from church or birthday parties. We were always working to make sure everything in the house looked perfect for our guests. Our home growing up was always decorated and I always heard people complimenting my mother on how everything looked. She always told me and still does how “we’re background people putting all the pieces together.” I carried that saying into my high school and young adult life in college. I was always helping organize and put the pieces together of different small events. It wasn’t until my brother proposed to his now wife and we then had a wedding to plan that I began to think about making all that planning and designing an actual profession. I tend to be a hyper-organized person and my sister-in-law knew this and asked me to be their planner for the wedding. So I spent the entire year leading up to the big day, organizing every small detail; planning all the showers, parties, and rehearsals; helping coordinate the timeline of the day; and personalizing and designing all the signage and writing by hand. I wanted everything to be perfect for them and, while I might have been running around the venue the day-of in heels and a bridesmaids dress making sure all those small pieces fit perfectly, everything was absolutely 100% perfect.I have always been someone fascinated by people and what makes them the way they are. I believe everything and everyone is part of a story. So, everything that happens, big or small, in someone’s life should be another chapter in their story. My degree in anthropology helped me learn about how those chapters influence who we are and who we become as a person. It taught me how important everyone’s stories are. I want to be able to help people share those stories through event planning and design. Through multiple years experience working in customer service and volunteering to be the background person of different events, I have gained the skills of coordinating the details of events and making sure that everything that needs to get done, is done. I am a self-motivated, creative, problem solver that is able to work well with a team or on my own to create a beautiful and successful event.
