I work as a Testing Manager for LPDH for the Department of Defense. My duties include creating master plan deliverables such as testing plans, test cases, and test reports. Testing includes utilizing the electronic mental record to test interfaces, functionality, HL7 messages, JSON files, and to validate defects.One of my goals is to become an instructional designer and project manager for clinical or business applications. Therefore, education is very important in my life and career. I finally defended my dissertation and will graduate from Sam Houston State University in December 2024. Since joining the information technology field as a tester, I desire to become a project manager. I enjoyed being a part of the project lifecycle from start to finish with projects I worked on as a tester. Once the excitement from earning my doctorate wears down, I plan to pursue earning a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI). Hopefully, I can complete my goal in 2025. Though my main passion is learning, challenges are what I live for. I love accomplishing those challenges and seeing the rewards. Whether the reward is a certification, test solution, or degree, I tackle those challenges the best I can and do what it takes to achieve and surpass the expected result. Can you believe I am also leading fitness classes part-time? My life is busy, but I always want to learn and experience new opportunities to enhance and improve my professional development and growth.
