Performing day-to-day functions of monitoring the operations consoles, mounting tapes and printing reports. Monitoring network systems for availability within a Windows Server 2003/2008 environment along with basic server troubleshooting by start/stop services for preparation of reboots, standard server and clusters. Perform active directory functions by managing user accounts. Running network and system backups as well as monitoring telecommunications connectivity (nodes), start nodes when necessary if problem persist than contact the correct Command Center for reset/start. Monitor using a web based software WhatsUpGold application, add/delete from monitoring tool any servers, routers and switches as requested by either network personnel or system Administrator. By using troubleshooting skills to ping, trace routes if any network anomalies occur prior to calling System Administrator or Network staff. ¬¬Monitored Microsoft Exchange Windows 2003/2008 Servers by managing accounts, services, nightly backups and applying updates of any kind. After hours help desk support for all systems within the data center. Open problem tickets within Remedy application, escalate, resolve, and call the appropriate personnel when needed for onsite emergencies. ¬¬Continually update Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) as needed as well as monitor data center environmental conditions for any anomalies and keeping records of all the conditions periodically throughout each shift.

AS/400 Environment¬¬General support for production along with maintenance on several programs. Technical writing and designing for a new system that was in preliminary stage. Through the FIJITSU system I was able to back up the phone system for the entire company as well as maintain user accounts. Generated automated insurance forms through ITP and backup operations as needed along with administration duties when assigned.
