Provides administrative leadership and continuity for the Michigan Diabetes Research Center (MDRC) and the Michigan Center for Diabetes Translational Research(MCDTR). Specific responsibilities include fiscal planning and analysis, oversight of grant management in compliance with National Institutes of Health requirements, personnel management, space planning and utilization, public relations and marketing, and website and resource development. Is a member of the Internal Advisory Committee and the Core Operating Committee of the MDRC and MCDTR.

Provide pre-award assistance for 30+ MEND faculty, to federal, foundation and industry sponsors.

Program Coordinator for two multi-project NIH P30 grants and one NIH T32 Training Grant. Provided Pre-Awards assistance for 30+ faculty to both Federal and non-Federal sponsors. Coordinated the annual SCCOR Directors Conference, coordinating with several institutions. Monitored account balances and approved expenditures. Read and interpreted proposal guidelines and specifications. Processed enrollment and termination of postdoctoral fellows on the training grant. Maintained training grant database. Reconciled PCard statements, travel and hosting expense reports.

Provided administrative support to the Education Research Consultant and to the Special Education Consultant. Arranged committee meetings and conferences. Provided database support and produce camera-ready documents and test booklets. Made travel arrangements, processed travel reimbursements.

Administrative support to faculty physicians in Pulmonary Division. Facilitated grants, manuscripts and other administrative duties. Ordered supplies and office equipment. Arranged meetings, made travel arrangements, triaged patient phone calls, prepared Powerpoint presentations. Coordinated and prepared the Pulmonary Function Test schedule, Attending schedule, and Service/Call schedule. Maintained and scheduled complex calendars for several faculty.
