Having followed my passion for sport & exercise through undergraduate & Masters level, I choose to pursue a PhD in an area slightly outside this focus to further my skills and research experience. My PhD focused on the relationship between blood pressure and the perception of sensation, specifically pain.Interspersed with my academic progress, I have also enjoyed several periods of employment primarily focused in the Sport and Exercise domain, including consultant work, product development and retail.I am also an international distance runner having represented Great Britain at World level since 2005.
