Provides strategic oversight on Colgate Global Technology’s learning and development efforts, information technology and knowledge management and helps foster innovative new product development approaches. Internal Coach.Responsibilities included: Learning and Development strategy and execution for Colgate Palmolive Global R&D in partnership with HR, Oversight of action learning projects focused on innovation and rapid product development. Working with outside partner, trained and managed a global community of 60 facilitators within Colgate’s Global Technology Centers and CICs (Consumer Innovation Centers) to facilitate alignment on new innovation projects, intellectual property and creative brainstorming. Provided strategic oversight for business process innovation and systems support for Product Lifecycle Management. Led the creation of a small team focused on connecting Colgate’s scientific community with external partners to accelerate access / application of technology to new product development. Worked cross-functionally with R&D, Supply Chain, Legal and Marketing to develop strategic alliance frameworks with a goal to develop and grow healthy working relationships with existing and new innovation partners.

Successfully grew personal and home care profitability in a high inflation environment, partnering with supply chain in vertical integration projects. Part of a small team that successfully acquired Kolynos do Brasil for $1 billion dollars, increasing Colgate’s market share in toothpaste from 25% to 70%.

Colgate Palmolive’s first female General Manager, replacing the founder of this subsidiary. Transitioned a small, dedicated commercial and manufacturing organization to return to double-digit sales and profit growth. Identified acquisition opportunities, which were completed by 1995.
