I have many years experience recruiting and training Personal Care Attendants. In this role, I provide extensive support as employees onboard and learn the role. I also coordinate employee schedules and manage timesheets, and provide all necessary supervision. As an Americorps VISTA Leader, I recruit for new Americorps VISTA positions and provide one-on-one support with current VISTA members. I enjoy the opportunity to use my interpersonal skills to support members as they fill their requirements of service and provide mentoring for members to balance their personal and professional lives. I enjoy helping members discover and apply strategies that help them overcome challenges in both work and personal settings. In addition to my one-on-one work with members, I plan and lead engaging monthly professional development activities for VISTAs. I also provide operational support for the project by maintaining timesheets and managing time and leave. This role has allowed me take my empathy and compassion for others and encourage those who desire to make a difference in their community.
