I taught 9-12th grade courses including Art 1, Ceramics, and Sculpture, and I served as a facilitator with Dallas College with students enrolled in ARTS 1301 Dual Credit Art Appreciation.During my time as a classroom teacher, I also mastered the use of Canvas LMS for delivery of virtual and hybrid material for students and other adults on campus. I also created many job aids for students as instructional materials related to processes and topics in the classroom.

As part of Verizon Innovative Schools (VILS), I spent two years on the Teacher Leader Team (TLT) at my campus, with two other teachers and our Digital Learning Coach (DLC). This training for adults involved collaborating with peers to design, develop, and deliver training to teachers on topics related to trauma, resilience, learning, stress, social-emotional skills, regulation, and working with dysregulated students. Multiple sessions were presented at the district level (160+ attendees per session) and campus level (20+ learners per session).

High School Youth Minister and Coordinator of Confirmation, focusing on curriculum and catechesis for high school students. Major responsibilities included weekly event planning for large and small groups, speaking to groups, managing adult volunteers, lesson planning, facilitating groups for teens, and planning/leading huge events like weekend retreats and week-long ski trips.

This redirected me back to my home state of Texas.
