Berbérati, Mambéré-Kadéï, Central African Republic

Coordinated and managed the implementation of Finn Church Aid’s (FCA) immediate emergency response and longer term education humanitarian assistance projects.• Provided technical support to FCA staff, conducted frequent field visits to ensure projects were implemented in accordance with work plans and log frames.• Responsible for budgets totaling 2.2 million Euro.

Beni, North Kivu, Democratic Republic Of The Congo

Coordinated and managed the education response for the RRMP (Rapid Response to Movement of Population) project in North Kivu Province, consisting of $3.5 million USD funded by UNICEF.• Planned and implemented multiple concurrent interventions, promoting cross-sectoral linkages where possible. Conducted extensive field visits to ensure efficiency and rapidity of response and alignment with global and national standards. • Managed two teams of 12 educational staff. • Represented NRC externally to donors, government officials, and the cluster system. • Hired and trained local partners for assistance with program implementation.• Responsible for budget and financial management of education program activities. Successfully led new proposals in line with NRC global policy and NRC DRC country strategy.

Worked on various projects to further the promotion, utilization, and institutionalization of the INEE Minimum Standards. Competed projects pertaining to knowledge management, workshops and trainings, outreach and communications, and administrative tasks.• Wrote various concept notes, publication pieces, EiE advocacy pieces, contributed to contextualizations of the Minimum Standards, and constructed communication messages. • Organized the global testing and tracking of new INEE tools and training modules for the Education in Emergencies toolkit.• Developed “The Brightest Hope” publication, highlighting essays from an INEE essay contest.

Managed 12 international volunteer teachers; facilitated initial 3 week orientation and ongoing teacher training and development involving regular classroom observations and coaching. • Wrote comprehensive high school English curriculum guide which is now institutionalized across all WorldTeach FSM programs. Wrote additional curricular guides for high school Algebra II, Geometry, Biology, and General Science for Pohnpei State volunteers.• Taught one high school senior English class at Pohnpei Island Central School.• Liaised with diverse stakeholders including government officials and education personnel for technical and operational management of program. • Secured new local partner and began new international volunteer summer program. • Managed all finances of country program, wrote reports and new program literature. • Facilitated a multi-school college preparatory program, and served as after school English tutor.

Developed curriculum and taught over 200 students two multi-level classes of grade 6 English, as well as Grade 3, 5, and 7 Art.• Held positions as grade 7 registered class teacher, school librarian, school secretary, set exams at circuit level for 60+ schools.• Began an after-school reading program for 150 students, pairing Lower Primary with Upper Primary learners.
