State governmental body that provides oversight for all Iowa and other state agencies, organizations and programs (http://www.iowa.gov/).• Simultaneously manage multiple IT projects that often involve one or more State agencies per project with an ongoing average of 20 projects at any given time and teams that range from 1-20 members.• While using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, the utilization of the Joint Application Design (JAD) was used. The team and stakeholders met to define and review the business requirements for the system using Use Cases and Workflow Diagrams.• Using the SDLC and JAD processes, mediation was performed with groups with conflicting and competing business requirements. • Utilized both the Waterfall and Agile methods of SDLC• Determined time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing each project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the projects.• Developed project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and technical specifications.• Developed project charters, communication plans, risk reviews in addition to the project plans.• Ensured testing plans and testing were conducted on each project.• Worked closely with multiple stakeholders from both public and private organizations. .• Performed data modeling and mapping between the existing and new automated systems.• Kept management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues; conferred with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve any outstanding/urgent problems.• Established and directed application/solution test plans for projects and obtained project sign off of completion.
