Every month volunteers who are under 18 come to either be a prosecutor, defense, or jury. We were given real-life cases of minors who have a Class C misdemeanor to pay for their citation by completing community service hours. Since these are actual cases committed by people we can't into detail about any specific cases that have happened. A normal teen court hearing would be me and the rest of the jury to hear out both the defense and the prosecutor. The state (prosecutor) would summon a police officer to say what happened accounting to the report and the defense would summon the defendant to explain their side of the story. In between the summons both the defense and state would ask questions revealing more about the case in general. After both state and defense rest the jury is able to ask some questions as well. Then the jury holds a meeting and is required to have a unanimous vote on what the charges gonna be.

At least 20 hours per week, working 7 hours both on Saturdays and Sundays. During rush hours it's a fast-paced environment. Communicating with customers left and right, ringing them up on the cashier, and taking the orders to the back. Also sometimes worked in the back putting toppings on the pizzas and making the Italian cheese bread. Helped restock the toppings when the ingredients become low.
