My education and training in the financial world and as a Certified Public Accountant combined with my desire to build strong relationships led me to my most recent role before retirement, Senior Director of Gift Planning at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation. Prior to that, I worked as a senior trust administrator/relationship manager for the Northern Trust Company, assisting in estate and tax planning that included charitable giving through split interest trusts, donor advised funds, and private foundations. I have worked with many of the region’s best estate planning attorneys and accountants to carry out proactive, strategic planning for my clients. In addition, I enjoyed participating in new business activity, achieving high success in securing new clients through careful preparation and my genuine interest in helping others achieve their goals. Prior to my time at the Northern Trust, I was fully immersed in the philanthropic sector of greater Milwaukee, most notably as the Administrator of Fleck Foundation. I assisted in the early days of Fleck Foundation as we created a mission and process for good grantmaking. Today I continue to use my experience and training serving on the board of Friendship House, a women-led organization that partners with Cathedral Center to provide transitional housing for women and their children facing housing insecurity.
