I believe caregivers are the unsung heroes of modern time. As our population ages, the need for caregiver support at every level is vital. I'm pleased to serve in this role as Senior Advisor, Caregiving to provide leadership, management, and guidance in support of the Community Foundation's grantmaking and special projects related to caregivers of older.

As a National Volunteer Facilitation & Training Team (VFTT) Member, I work to increase training and facilitation capacity within AARP by providing volunteer-led training and facilitative services under the guidance of Office of Volunteer Engagement (OVE). VFTT team members work in partnership with AARP staff and other volunteers, across the U.S. to deliver.

I facilitate AARP supported initiatives related to caregiver advocacy, financial resiliency, disrupt aging, and working with individuals as they reimagine their careers after the age of 50 within the Detroit metropolitan area and nationally as a national volunteer facilitator.

This position incorporates the breadth of experience I have acquired over the past 20+ years in higher education as an administrator and in various positions of counseling, academic advising, and teaching. My current administrative responsibilities include managing a staff of professionals responsible for a full scope of services from recruitment.
