Mary K. Kuentz, CPCC, PCC, is a professional coach and trainer specializing in human development and transformation of the workplace. Mary works with leaders at all levels to help them become more responsive to the needs of the world. At the heart of her practice is a deep commitment to social change. In addition to being a professional coach, Mary is a skilled facilitator and trainer of coaching in the government, private and non-profit sectors.A professional coach since 1999, Mary is known for her rigor, calm clarity, humor and ability to quickly get to the essence of the issue while holding the big picture. She is influenced by the wisdom traditions of the world, bringing a holistic, trauma-informed approach to coaching and facilitation, believing that every situation is an opportunity for deep personal and collective transformation. Mary is trained in Co-Active Coaching and Co-Active Leadership, Non-Violent Communication, Coaching for Transformation, Creativity and Lateral Thinking, Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching, Inherited Family Trauma, Family Constellations, and Core Belief Restructuring, as well as experience working in executive addiction recovery. Prior to becoming a coach, Mary worked at Cornell University as a Web Producer and a creativity consultant and trainer at Corning Incorporated. In private practice since 2001, Mary holds the Professional Certified Coach credential from the International Coach Federation (ICF) with over 3,000 hours coaching individuals and groups. She is an English-speaking mentor and teacher to coaching students around the world, as well as leaders who implement a “coach approach” in their organizations. As a senior trainer for Leadership that Works since 2001, Mary teaches the Coaching for Transformation program at the New York Open Center and Omega Women’s Leadership Center at Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY. She is on the faculty of NeighborWorks Training Institute, working with non-profit and social justice leaders to empower working families and communities in the United States. An executive coach with the Omidyar Fellowship Hawaii, she works with emerging leaders and executives who tackle tough business and community challenges in Hawaii and around the world. Since 2003, Mary has been on the faculty of Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), leading Co-Active Coach Core Curriculum, Co-Active Professional Coach Certification program and leadership development programs within organizations.
