I am a content creator, communications project manager and strategic partner with the Research Communications and Engagement group within the Duke Clinical Research Institute. In November 2023, I became the Comms lead for the RADx® Underserved Populations (RADx-UP CDCC). RADx-UP is a significant investment by the National Institutes of Health to address the COVID-19 pandemic and health equity in underserved populations. Since 2021, I have been a strategic partner to the RADx-UP CDCC’s Community Engagement Core. As a creator, I lead the CDCC’s campaign development and the storytelling for the core’s signature video projects. I led the content creation and dissemination of the CDCC's many diverse campaigns, including the dissemination of the 2023 Pediatrics supplement and the promotion of the products in the growing digital Engagement Resource Library. I helped the CDCC grant program increase applications for grant funding sevenfold by defining audiences and expanding outreach. I led the creation of 20+ community-engaged research briefs--lay summaries--intended to return results in many languages, including plain language, to the communities who may benefit from the research. I have two decades + of experience leading project management and event management for nonprofits, my own LLC, and Duke’s policy school. In 2022, I completed a Master of Arts in Digital Communication at the University of Chapel Hill’s Hussman School of Journalism and Media.
