Production for Rising Blue was funded through a successful Kickstarter campaign. I developed jewelry collections as a collaborative effort with artisans in Asia, sourcing materials from Thailand and Indonesia. I facilitated photoshoots to tell the brand’s story, developing relationships with social media influencers and complementary brands. I also managed direct sales and wholesale accounts.

I came on board to launch Cleobella’s clothing category. I was responsible for design in all of the brand’s categories: cut-and-sew, jewelry, and handbags. I created line guides, picked fabric, and created print stories by hand. I sketched clothing and handbag collections and developed tech packs. At Cleobella, I traveled to factories overseas, working on development and solving production challenges. I created special make-up designs, collaborating with Free People, Revolve.com, and Lucky Brand.

As part of the women’s team, I designed dresses, knit tops, woven tops, and denim. My hand-sketching experience helped us to quickly move from concept to development. I specialized in creating seasonal color palettes and print stories. I worked with the team to launch O’Neill’s successful Festival Collection which I also translated into a popular little girl’s line.

Orange County, California Area

Starting as an assistant women’s designer, I moved up to a senior design position where I worked at a global level, managing the design direction with Quiksilver’s Europe and Asia teams. I met with regional sales divisions to develop product specific to their accounts’ needs. I also designed and developed women’s collections for the US and Canada. Quiksilver adopted my proposal for unifying design direction between apparel and footwear.
