My position requires that I provide phone support and remote assistance relating to software & network configuration (email hosts/clients, QuickBooks, backups, router configuration, etc...) or malware removal. In addition, my responsibilities include the management of special projects that require database and web expertise and some programming. Some examples are:• Web store inventory update automation (scheduled task calls .BAT to query, create and upload a .CSV to FTP).• Access form and supporting queries for mass mailing asking customers to update CC and billing information.• Installation, configuration and maintenance of EMR/PMS/PACS for dental office.• QuickBooks support, migration and manual manipulation of data using QODBC and/or IIF list import.• Migration of exchange from onsite to hosted as well as Google Apps Sync and other cloud storage solutions.• Website creation and maintenance and SEO as well as troubleshooting hosting issues (DNS, MX, etc…).• General IT support including scheduled server updates, networking and malware/virus removal.

As an AR Specialist my role was to post EOB payments and ERAs remotely. EOBs were acquired either via clearinghouse website, payer website, or fax. I was responsible for working rejections and aging.I performed an EMR implementation including extensive template customization and instrument integration. I provided continued offsite support and customization.

At one of the many trade shows I attended while still in the training and implementation department I met a professor from UCLA by the name of Michael Gorin, MD PhD. After showing him a product demonstration and listening to the need he expressed for a PACS system at UCLA's Jules Stein Eye Institute, I put together a functional specifications document that I then shared with VersaSuite's lead developer, Sloan Roy. After a few months Sloan had something I could show Dr Gorin. Dr Gorin was genuinely impressed and he asked if it really worked... I told him no, but if JSEI bought into the concept we would make it work for them.The following year was spent wading through the red tape to get funding and further developing the product. At long last, we won the account.We brought in a third party consulting firm to keep everything on the level and to manage the implementation. I became the technical project manager.This role included EMR template design, training staff how to use the resource based scheduler (this started the chain of events that created the DICOM files), documentation, configuration and a very significant amount of ophthalmic imaging device integration with manufacturers like Heidleberg, Zeiss Ellex and Optos. We collectively established the DICOM standard for ophthalmology. DICOM started in radiology and had not yet been done in ophthalmology. Together we made history!Ultimately, I moved to Los Angeles for this implementation and UCLA is still using VersaSuite PACS today.

With a strong understanding of client needs and the solutions that our software provided, I was able to communicate well with potential clients. This translated into the ability to present the application in a comprehensive manner and gave the sales team the ability to focus on prospecting new business opportunities. This position included a great deal of trade shows and hosted presentations called "EMR Shoot-outs" in which our software was pitted against another in dictated mock examinations. In this role, I was able to facilitate the expansion of our targeted sub-specialty clientele. I created and maintained presentation databases designed to showcase every possible feature any medical specialty may want to see in a software product. I also perfected and trained product demonstration protocol.In my role as EMR Template Design Analyst I consulted with clients and prospects across many specialties and assisted in the creation and management of a robust library of clinical templates.

Implementation includes a great deal of planning and organization. The tasks involved in this process included the validation of new clients' network infrastructure (hardware and software; e.g., MS SQL, Office, etc...), ability to integrate medical diagnostic equipment, evaluation of end user computer proficiency, scheduling staff training, and so much more...Proper implementation is key. If done well, the client was happy and remained a client long after the training was complete. This position required nearly 50% travel.

In this position I provided technical support covering the entire VersaSuite product line including but not limited to the products listed below. Supporting these products involved much more than customer service.
