Mason is an experienced Software Engineer with a history ranging from embedded systems development, to network protocol research, clustered computing, and APIs with micro-services in Go.Mason co-founded StackIQ (acquired by Teradata) based on his group's research at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. There, he co-founded the open-source Rocks Clusters project, which automated deployment and management of Linux clusters. He has 20+ years of experience in distributed and networked systems. His first job was as an embedded software engineer, where he integrated first generation GPS units into a national grid of weather sensors. He still misses accumulator based microprocessors.
