As a board member of the Virginia Tech Management Advisory Board of Students (MABS), I collaborate with faculty and peers to improve the Management student experience by supporting department initiatives and events. This role has strengthened my leadership and communication skills, allowing me to help a meaningful impact within my academic community.

• Developed a skillset in managing risk, opportunity, and stakeholder interests.• Led effort to optimize the process of metrics visualization, potentially saving two hours of work per week.• Collaborated with contracts subject matter expert to establish a clarification plan for subcontract labor.• Successfully led a cost-estimate analysis for a new program work site and hosted stakeholder review.• Coordinated logistics for a program-wide progress review with the government customer.• Proactively networked with executives and honed presentation skills, communicating data in requested formats.

One World is a 501c3 nonprofit aimed at exposing underserved young people to the vast opportunities in STEAM fields. We have made strides towards accomplishing this in several ways. Some of which have been: week-long summer camps for local elementary school students in a Title-1 school, a virtual webinar series during the pandemic which featured industry professionals sharing about their careers with students, and most recently our virtual STEAM Summit which featured keynote speakers and more industry professionals sharing advice and information about their careers with a wider audience of K-12 students.
