My academic background is in political sciences, international relations, and European studies. I am completing my PhD in Diplomacy and International Studies at Loughborough University London. My research focuses on the global aspects of authoritarianism, particularly within the context of the Turkish case. I investigate whether the negotiations for the European Union accession have played a role in shaping the country's authoritarian turn and to what extent.I have collected several international experiences. Before moving to London in 2020, I lived in Italy, Turkey, and Argentina, where I enriched my worldview through diverse experiences. I am an avid reader and traveller, I enjoy exploring the world through literature and journeys.Since January 2021, I have been working as a research assistant at Loughborough University London, where I have been researching the roles of civil society organisations within projects funded by Loughborough University and the British Academy. In March 2023 I joined the University of East London, where I was appointed as a Lecturer in Social Sciences at the School of Education and Communities. In November 2023 I started working as a Lecturer in Social Sciences at the University of Greenwich as well. In December 2023 I joined London Politica as a consultant.In the past I also took up associative roles as the Lead PhD Representative at Loughborough University London ('22/'23) and as a proactive BISA (British International Studies Association) PGN Events Officer ('22/'23). These roles reflect my commitment to both leadership and engagement within the academic community.
