A multi-faceted role covering both account management, project management and social media management for Butterfly.

This role was very broad and allowed development of a large range of online skills. Working with a small team it was my job to provide support across multiple websites.Responsibilities included:Site development and maintenance, content management, technical support, eDM coding and sending (including weekly newsletters, paid solus emails and client mailouts) as well as being involved in client relations and reporting. Our newsletter database managed subscriptions for over 300,000 people in total.Together with these roles, I also created an in-house publishing system which improved newsletter creation efficiency and removed the need for superfluous html coding. In addition I created systems to maintain the quality content and synchronise our site and newsletter databases.

I was contracted to produce a version of the Java program I developed during my Honours project for release into the public domain accompanied by user documentation.Subsequently I have appeared as first author in a paper published in the journal Molecular Ecology Resources.

During 2008 I was a computer science lab demonstrator in the undergraduate computer labs. This involved assisting and tutoring students with assignments in labs of up to 150 students. This requires a high level of java programming and html knowledge together with constant flexibility in my approach to student inquiries. These requirements have improved my skills in communicating information at a variety of levels.
