The majority of my work is demand, sales and revenue forecasting through time-series and causal modeling of traffic and funnel conversion data. As part of this predictive modeling I work with domain experts across the business to translate their knowledge into features for quantitative models.This requires consolidating disparate data sources, data cleaning and feature engineering through ETL processes. To evaluate and implement these predictive models I build and maintain production level machine learning pipelines and model test frameworks using a combination of design thinking, lean and agile approaches.I also develop, maintain and monitor an automated forecasting engine to produce rolling forecasts for consumption by the executive team and primary stakeholders.Taking concepts from the manufacturing industry and equity portfolio management, I developed and implemented a monitoring system to track model degradation. Along with workflow improvement processes this has reduced waste, so I can concentrate my efforts on the most impactful returns in the modelling and forecasting systems.In my personal time I research forecasting applications across multiple industries through my membership of the International Institute of Forecasters, and use my skillset to develop personal interests in equity research and analysis, and the financial markets.
