Description: I built and maintained an automated testing system in Python to validate our platform captures malicious events based on MITRE. In addition, my work involved front-end development on the Symantec Endpoint Detection and Response web application using AngularJS and TypeScript.

- Implemented a small application using JavaScript, Node.js, and some AngularJS to use the Kibana dashboard with a database other than Elasticsearch

As a member of the Client Endpoint Protection team, within the Norton Engineering Division, I primarily focused on Windows native application development. Most of my work involved testing and developing in C/C++ using the WINAPI library for the Norton AV user interface.In addition, I worked closely with the Norton Release team, writing Python scripts to parse and retrieve build result data to post to an ElasticSearch-powered Kibana dashboard.

My second stint at Symantec was part of the IDSafe Extension team within the Norton Engineering division. As a team, we were in charge of building a Firefox and Google Chrome web extension to use with Symantec's IDSafe password vault.As a team member, I was much more involved with the development process and participated in all team meetings. I began with small quality assurance tasks, but quickly progressed to JavaScript API development and test writing.

I joined Control, a growing startup partnered with Conekta, Stripe, and Mastercard, as a co-op student contributing to Control's Stripe analytics web application, but eventually joined the team part-time as an employee for the winter.At Control, my work was primarily back-end Node.js development. I transferred the deprecated front-end API to the back-end, writing a lot of the new API from scratch.

As an intern at myBestHelper, I was primarily tasked with primarily back-end development using Ruby on Rails and front-end enhancements. My job included feature, database, and test development for myBestHelper's website, which serviced 5,000 people at the time. In addition, I built a system to generate locations near the user where potential caregivers may post jobs and helped expand the company's website to include United States settlements.

During my first stint with Symantec, I was a member of the CloudConnect team within the Norton Engineering division. The CloudConnect team was responsible for the Norton activation signup flow and handling user requests and licensing server responses.As a member of the quality assurance group within CloudConnect, I wrote and maintained NUnit tests written in C#. In addition, I was put in charge of migrating the team from the old automation system to one that was based on Python. This involved writing a Python script to automate future testing and technical documentation for training purposes.

I was a member of an eleven-person startup specializing in the development of an online advertising platform.  During my time, the team was preparing for the Republic Project 2.0 launch, and in August 2013, the product launch was successful. Following my internship, the company was sold to DG MediaMind which is currently known as Sizmek.At Republic Project, my tasks included both script development and quality assurance. One of my main projects was writing a python script, which, combined with the Selenium framework, brought automated testing to the company. As an SDET, I wrote test plan documentation and converted manual testing checklists to automated tests used with the prior-mentioned python script.
