By learning new skills to tolerate difficult emotions, and exploring the patterns within their relationships, we can find new ways to respond to hard situations in order to heal and be free from the previous methods that kept them stuck

I engaged Students into individual and group counseling. I worked with Students in 3rd grade up to 12th. All Students had an IEP and were part of the Non-Public School named Kayne Eras Center. Their learning was often impeded by their lack of emotional regulation, effective communication, and poor peer relationships. I helped students cope with the difficulties in their school environments in order to increase their ability to be successful at school.

During my MFT program, I completed an internship at Olive Crest Academy in order to obtain clinical training with a population that I am passionate about. I provided individual and group therapy to students as little as second grade ranging up to high school graduates. Here, I gained experience helping adolescents with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, interpersonal conflict, life transitions, academic planning and anger management.
