This position allowed me to manage & supervise the day-to-day facility operations of the ARC Conference Center & U-Center, including Public and Event Spaces. I acted as the manager on duty during hours of operation when no management staff is on property. I helped the many students, staff & faculty, as well as campus visitors that flow through the ARC Conference Center & U-Center. I had the responsibility of Ensure a safe environment for staff and guests by enforcing building policies and procedures, and complying with UC Davis Fire Department rules and regulations.

As an event staff for the UC Davis ARC and U-Centers, I was responsible for working with groups of 5-10 students in order to setup and take down events that were booked in our spaces. The position required me to lift heavy objects of 50Ibs or more, as well as carry large loads of expensive items such as audio and visual equipment. Once I became a lead staff, I supervised and managed the groups while figuring out ways to efficiently complete setups within a given time frame.

The Habitat Restoration internship consisted of venturing to areas around the nearby Putah Creek and removing invasive plant species and instead planting California native plants. Our duties in the internship were setting up irrigation, pruning and propagating large plants, and developing maps to ensure plants were placed in optimal locations.
