Engaged as an employment advisor on the DWP Work Program, motivating and advising customers into sustainable employment. I am responsible for coaching, training and guidence of the long term un employed customers

I wa resonsible for interview, mentoring and acdvising of long term unemployed customers through the DWP Flexible new deal program. Initially i started on a work trial setting up the inetrview, training and reporting process for FND in preperation for the initial cohort of customers. I impressed the manager and gained the job and after a year of unemployment I was working in an industry totally diferent to logistics, I completed my NVQ 3 in IAG in 5 months, training in IAG whilst managing a small FND delivery office. I was responsible for stock control and checking, deliveries of flooring in 7.5t vehicles, unloading and loading of vehicles, both by hand and using a FLT. Assisting deptmanagers in warehouse layout and changing storage shelving, bins and bays to accomodate an increasing profile of stock held. During the busy pre christmas period I was givn sole responsibility for delivery vehicle loading, count of items onto the vehicles and corection of sales orders discrepencies.
