I have worked in the mining sector since March 2004. Drilling in open cut mine sites including Area C and Tallering peak with Brandrill for a period of 4 years. Operating SK45, GD5000, DMM, DMM2, DM45 and DK45 drill rigs. Operating in down hole hammer, rotary, Tom hammer and RC drilling along with relief leading hand, safety rep and training roles as required. Drilling and leading hand work for 1 year at Tom Price for Target Drilling in a drilling role on a D40K for 6 months before transitioning into a leading hand/relief supervisor role for 6 months which included client liaison, drill planning, drill maintenance and staff management. From December 2008 till present working at Newmont’s open cut gold mine in Boddington as a Driller with the addition of Trainer/Assessor, Relief Leading hand, Project Management work, Data Analysis work. Drilling on DML, PV235, PV271, D65, CL drill rigs along with a wide range of support equipment (loaders, trucks, forklifts, rollers etc.) Training and assessing of personnel on a wide range of machinery to ensure safe and productive operation since 2015 (training) and 2018 (assessing). More recently been involved with data analysis and project management on various different projects being run on site.
