Line leader for the northern team of Communications, Navigation, & Surveillance engineering groups at Airservices Australia. This role provides teams with task assignment and acts as an interface to senior management in the form of performance reporting, resource requirements, and staff initiated issues. Therole also represents the interests of the CNS North Engineering team to other branches of Airservices and external organisations. Technical accountabilities include but are not limited to the discharging of safety accountabilities, providing high quality advice to senior management on issues and risks affecting the systems supported by the team, assessing the level of skills required for the current and future provision of support to CNS systems within the team’s portfolio, and ensuring that the support services provided by the team continues to comply with CASA, ICAO and Airservices safety, security and technical standards and guidelines. People accountabilities include but are not limited to the management of my own performance in ways that earn the trust of my team and peers including consistent modelling of desired behaviour, implementing a Work Performance System for all members of the team, assisting with the recruitment of staff as necessary, tasks assignment that matches the KPIs of systems supported by the team, maintaining the work schedule of direct reports allowing for the team budget and demand for the team’s resources, reporting to management any issues that will impact on the ability of the team to meet its goals, and providing timely and accurate budgeting, forecasting, monitoring and reporting information.

Responsible for the delivery of services rendered by multiple technical and engineering teams.This is an operationally focused role responsible for ensuring required technical capability and service provision is maintained for critical aviation systems in the communications, navigation, and surveillance spaces.This position holds business, people, and financial delegations for 5 direct reports and approximately 60 staff of highly diverse backgrounds, skills, and experience.

Responsible for the delivery of services rendered by 5 teams including Drafting, Centralised Module Repair Depot, National Distribution Centre, Maintenance Engineering Improvement, and Other Business Revenue. This position involved business, people, and financial delegations for 4 direct reports and approximately 30 staff of highly diverse backgrounds, skills, and experience. Additional delegations include co-chair of the Interface Control Working Group alongside the Royal Australian Air Force as well as management of various critical contracts maintained by the business.The role also encapsulated business strategy including a direct and meaningful impact on the future direction of Maintenance & Service. This included management of the unit wide continuous improvement program.
